What is Value?

*Value* A very common word. In fact we see it almost everyday. But what I like to mention here is how we put value on things to ourself and towards other people. For example, some big companies like Boeing train their employees worths millions of dollars every year but not sure if their investment will return or profit. They even have a slogan “Our People are Our Most Important Resource”(I saw it in a post card I got from Boeing Company).

But instead of loosing money they profit more and more. It is more likely to go around with this theory: If you put value in your employees, your employees will put value in your product or services, then your customer will receive value then your business will become “VALUABLE”. Makes sense doesn’t it?

Another example is YouTube. It is surprising why it is bought by Google for US$1.7 billion dollars since this small company is not even making any money and was created only by two guys two years ago. The keyword ” VALUE”.

So value should be an important part of our lives in order for us to be successful. On whatever endevour you are in, for example, if you own a website, put content with value and in return you will become valueble to your visitors. “Content is the King” a very well known saying to webmasters.
