De Los Reyes HomeCraft International did not became a big time exporter of miniature wooden craft overnight. Mr. Primitovo De Los Reyes was the founder of this company who now exports unique Philippine miniature wooden crafts to the U.S., Singapore, Taiwan and Korea. Way back then he was making wooden handicraft in 1969 and was fortunate enough to be help out by CITC (Cottage Industry Technology Center) for his training. But then the government banned the use of wood in making handicraft in 1976.
That didn’t stopped him and instead he turned obstacles into opportunity by creating miniature wooden crafts like guitar, piano, violin and other miniature instruments out of wooden scrap. And not to mention he was a polio victim and employs highly skilled but disabled craftsmen. If wish know more about his company or products you can visit the website: www.delosreyeshomecraft.com ( as of now it is unavailable ) or you can visit the showcase in Tiendesitas in Ortigas.
