How to Make Virgin Coconut Oil Chocolate Candy

May 28th, 2007 Lito

VCO chocolateVirgin coconut oil chocolate? this sounds new and by the sound of it makes you think how it is made. A healthy chocolate for chocoholics since we already know the health benefits of chocolates and especially the VCO. To those who hate the VCO taste, this time you will definitely love it. Again, I had a chance to watch Kabuhyang Swak na Swak and they have featured the process of how simple it is made. Thanks to Carica for sharing it to us and of course the program KSNS (Kabuhyang Swak na Swak) for bringing those livelihood programs to our homes.

These are the things you need:

There is another unique business opportunity in kids besides preschool. It’s the Artist, Thought Factory for Kidz where kids explore and create items for party activities. Most of the materials are very simple like crustal beads, tiles, fabrics, mugs, letter cut outs, stickers, photos, glue, scissors and hair blower. Their initial setup cost only 3,000 pesos for 30 students.

Making Virgin Coconut Oil in Capsules

May 24th, 2007 Lito

VCO capsulesVirgin coconut oil have become a fad and well accepted in the market. There are many products now that show in the market that contains virgin coconut oil because of its popularity and many health benefits that we can get from it. Now there are bath soap, shampoo and lotion that many companies now produce. But taking it orally was not a very pleasant experience because of the after taste and sometimes your throat becomes itchy.

This was solved by creating encapsulated virgin coconut oil but the price seems not very affordable to many although the oil itself is locally produced. Around six pesos each capsules. But if you can make it yourself it will be much more cheaper. It was featured in kabuhayang swak na swak where a company was featured and demonstrate how to make the encapsulated VCO. The company was Carica and showed how to make it just using a syringe, transparent empty capsules and a tray holder for the capsules.

Featuring Binalot on Kabuhayan Swak na Swak

May 23rd, 2007 Lito

binalotI have posted the success story of Rommel Juan before, the owner of Binalot but it is better if you can see him on video (see below). Kabuhayang Swak na Swak featured him and his business and I have noted some of his advise and story about binalot. Although he attributed his success to hard work, he still believe in luck like most true entrepreneurs. He said his concept of binalot was immediately accepted by the market probably due to luck and he have made it in the right time. It’s being in the right place at the right time.

And his advise to budding entrepreneur, you should look for your passion. “What is passion?” he asked ” When you wake up in the morning and really excited to go to your work or venture, that is passion and then when you decided to start the business, go for it!

But I’ve made some dedication to tackle it every time in my site so watch out and bookmark me. By the way the show is hosted by Amy Perez and Chase Tinio. So hope you will visit this site often to know about some of their shows and you will also view some segments on video. On my next post you can watch their show featuring ‘Binalot’.

Our Country’s Economy

May 21st, 2007 Lito

Although there are efforts to enhance the entrepreneurship in our country from our government, still it is not enough. Look at taiwan, there is no taiwan before WW2 and after just a few decades it became a economic tiger in asia. It’s because there are many entrepreneurs there and they prioritized agriculture to boost their economy. I read a posting in the ABS-CBN forum from EVOLUTION7owner and it is a good one. Here it is:

IMHO, the only way to build our economy is to increase entrepreneurship. Problem is that our government has a very poor program for entrepreneurship but a good program for employment. Instead of making funds accessible to even the poor people to become entrepreneurs, they focus on giving the jobs.

I had always believed that every country’s and economy’s heroes are entrepreneurs because they provide jobs.
