Blogging has been an “in” thing nowadays because the search giant Google has made a big importance on blogs. The main reason is that blogs are always updated and contents are fresh. Unlike the old static html websites that stay “as-is” for a long time and not updated. I’ve seen those kind that haven’t been updated since 2003!
So how can u make money out of it? simple, making a blog and joining an affiliate programs like adsense. Very easy as long as you like writing articles. But not everyone has an affinity to writing. Like me for example, I don’t have a background on writing but since this is required to make a useful content I should struggle to learn it. Somehow with an effort I’m always finding a way how to make it and make it interesting as much as possible.
Setting up a blog account is easy too. Just find a free service like blogger.com, set up an account and customize your blog website and then you can start writing. There is also an option of signing up in adsense if you want to integrate advertising in your blog from the start. This is how you will make money. The visitors who clicks on the ads will charge the advertisers and part of the earnings will go to you .
Then we go to the most important part: Promoting your blog. You can start promoting by submitting it to yahoo or google search engines and to blog directories like blogcatalog.com. Exchanging links to other blogs and websites is one of the most important part of promoting so this should not be omitted. This article is just an overview and very basic approach on knowing how to blog. On the next episode I’ll discuss the advantages and disadvantages of free blogging sites or maybe I’ll simply make a title of “Where to Blog?”
