Although there are efforts to enhance the entrepreneurship in our country from our government, still it is not enough. Look at taiwan, there is no taiwan before WW2 and after just a few decades it became a economic tiger in asia. It’s because there are many entrepreneurs there and they prioritized agriculture to boost their economy. I read a posting in the ABS-CBN forum from EVOLUTION7owner and it is a good one. Here it is:
IMHO, the only way to build our economy is to increase entrepreneurship. Problem is that our government has a very poor program for entrepreneurship but a good program for employment. Instead of making funds accessible to even the poor people to become entrepreneurs, they focus on giving the jobs.
I had always believed that every country’s and economy’s heroes are entrepreneurs because they provide jobs.
First, we need to give the proper training. Many of the poor people wants easy cash, which is never the case. When they sell stuff, ang laki kagad ng patong. They just need the proper education. Second, access to funds. BAnks target SMEs, therefore, a loan of more than 500k. For the micro business side, loans as low as 5k should be accessible without hardship. Third, we lack media support. Notice how thick the jobs section is, but how many pages only offers opportunities? Fourth, education system. I will never ever enroll my kids to STI. “From Enrollment to Employment” instead of “From Enrollment to Entrepreneurship”. I would get people from STI because as an Entrepreneur, they would make me richer.
Last, please take into mind that there is NEVER a rich employee. They may have a big house and nice cars, but hello, they are all loaned! kung baga, if you will sum it all up, lubog pa ren sila sa utang! I was an employee before, I was able to buy cars through loans but I was at the mercy of my boss. I had a hefty pay! but I took the road to entrepreneurship. I sold my car and was literally bankrupt for many months. I opened my friest business with only 1 employee. Now, I have 10 employees and I am only 29 years old! I bought my Evo 7 without borrowing money.
Well to sum it all up, our economic rise will not depend on the president, nor your friends. It starts from us. Change is important. MAke that big leap. Negosyo is the way to go!
