The Most Powerful Dotcom Mogul – Kevin Ham

Kevin Ham PhotoWhile I surfing the internet today, I came across the article of the most poweful dotcom mogul of today who built a $300 million empire. The name was Kevin Ham. It’s ironic because despite of his million dollar empire in the internet he is not well known. It is when Business 2.0 Magazine made an article about him in May 22, 2007, he was known.

Just to mention briefly about him, he was a 37 year old Christian. The son of Korean-born immigrants, Ham grew up on the east side of Vancouver with his three brothers. He was also a doctor and quit his job to become a full time internet entrepreneur after he became successful. He buys and sells domain names, exploited every angle to generate traffic like for example, typos that people makes to find a website. He discovered the common typos that surfers create by typing for example http://www.cola.cm instead of http://www.cola.com. When you type a url with .cm domain in your browser you will be forwarded to a site named http://www.agoga.com.

You can read the whole article about him in CNNMoney.com
