Stumbled on Yugatech today and read a post regarding Filipino’s new money making opportunity unlocking iPhones. Yeah I think iPhone is great and can only be fully functional in the U.S. But now you can have them unlocked here in the Philippines. In our country, a cellphone capital in the world having many users and addicts in cellphones looks like this opportunity is a sure ball.
According to Abe:
One Filipino has been making a huge killing unlocking iPhones here in the Philippines. Phone unlocking is nothing new here — just go visit any mall in their mobile phone section and everybody’s doing it for a few hundred bucks. But the iPhone, only a few people knows how to do it or has access to the device with the guts to unlock it.
A running total of 75 iPhones with unlocking fees of as much as Php3,000 a pop. That’s about Php225,000 so far and I’m sure that guy is still counting more unlocked iPhones as we speak. Pretty nice quick cash, IMO.
But the bottom line is, was it allowed to unlock it? anyway since cellphone unlocking is rampant I guess there is no reason for it to be stopped.

No problem. I support the idea and logo doesn’t seem an exact copy of my logo. It’s a typical icon for Filipinos: a man with salakot. As long as he did not copy my laptop with sawali casing.
