Beside Friendster, another website that is a favorite destination of Filipinos is Multiply.Com. Would you believe that out of 9 million subscribers, 2 million are Filipinos? that is about 22.22%. I often overlooked the facts that many Filipinos are subscribing to multiply.com and always thought that this is just another social networking site. But many subscribers are making home based businesses out of this site.
The owners of the site were Peter Pezaris and David Hersh. Based on the story I read in Entrepreneur Magazine it was accidental that they discovered that the big part of their traffic is coming from the Philippines when their traffic plummeted because it was holiday in the Philippines. So they realized that the Philippines is a vital part of their business because Filipinos like to socialize online. Now you have an idea if you wanted to target the local market online, aside from Friendster, their is multiply.com. If you wanted to read more detail about the story, read the september issue of Entrepreneur magazine.

Majority of Pinoys really love Multiply, especially young women. Another website Filipinos are into nowadays is Facebook. Together with Friendster, these are the three social networking websites Pinoys really enjoy!
yeah.. i agree.. Aside from being the texting capital .. Filipinos are very socialized.. each day we develop our communication skills and create new words.. we progress .. and if we can just use it business promotion it will help a lot.. we can also speak in English so it was a total advantage for us..
