Battery Meter Icon Missing in The Sytem Tray of Your Laptop

Since I got this laptop I’ve been making changes to the system and installing stuffs I need for my work. But from time to time I’m experiencing some system halt maybe because of those changes. When I browse about those problems in the internet I learned that Windows Vista have lots of complaint and seems buggy. One remedy that seems to work every time was reinstalling the system drivers and software, like for example the when I experienced the loss of audio on my laptop. But one incident happened to me when I lost the battery meter icon on the system tray. I’ve search some forums and blogs discussing their problems how to solve this thing but they all seem not to work successfully. I even read a tip on how to solve it by tweaking the registry and deleting some stuffs in there.

I don’t want to take that risk so as much as possible I refrain from doing it. Not unless I enjoyed seeing the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) every time I use my computer. :) Another computer troubleshooting tip I read is by enabling the system icon on the Notification Area by pointing your mouse on the system tray (The system tray is located in the Windows Taskbar, usually at the bottom right corner next to the clock) and right clicking it. Then clicking the properties menu bar and going to the Notification Area then tick the check box of the “power” (see Figure 1 below). [click to continue...]

Simpliest Improvised Laptop Cooler

I was lucky enough to have an Acer laptop (Aspire 4720z) although not the latest model, at least one of my mini business plan came to a realization. Actually it was given to me by my sister-in-law who was working in Dubai. I guess she was fed up on all my whining about how hard it is to make ends meet because me and my wife are taking care of her son and my mother-in-law. I was not expecting anything from her, just to give what is due to her son and my mother-in-law so it will not be hard for me to make ends meet. So much for that. And about the laptop, I can say that it is stylish and doesn’t look cheap even though this is cheaper compared to other laptops I’ve seen.

Not really for gamers but most of the games like Yahoo! games can run with this rig. Maybe graphic intensive games can run satisfactorily but it might be slow and can overheat. In my observation, overheating causes this laptop to hang aside from Firefox that slows down the shutdown specially if you have Zone Alarm installed in Windows Vista. The trick is to shut the Zone Alarm first before hitting the shutdown button.

Almost Daily Niche: Medical Malpractice

Are you wondering why this niche has a high PPC bid? so am I. I wonder what kind of business will a medical malpractice have since this is something that we don’t want to happen to us. But as the data shows it has a bid of $12.18 and that is very lucrative. Based on the keywords below, it does have something to do with lawsuits. So that’s why it’s profitable!

Make Money with Your Digital Camera

digital camera lensI found an article about a business idea using your digital camera. Yes I know a digital camera is one of the business tools an entrepreneur might have. For example, if you are a photographer, obviously you will need a camera. What I’m saying is what if you are not a professional photographer and you have a digital camera just for fun?

Many companies now are putting their brick and mortar businesses online and depending on the type of business they have, some might need pictures on your area like real state, cars and homes for their online brochure. Sounds stupid but you will never know that someone might need the picture you have taken or some companies might need your services. If you love taking pictures, why not make an archive of them and make a website showing your stock photos? Just be sure to watermark them so nobody can steal those pictures. This is just a sample on how you can make use of your camera and there are lots of opportunities you can think of.
