Feel Free to Comment on This Blog

When I was just starting to blog, I was thinking of a kind of niche that I’m intertested in and that is entrepreneurship. Why? it’s because this is the only way I know to get the freedom that I want. No, I don’t mean that I’ll be totally free from work, what I only mean to say is freedom to make my own decision. Maybe the phrase “being your own boss” makes an entrepreneur free to make his own decision and not hanging around and consulting his boss all the time.

I think there is no need for me to talk about my days when I was still in the corporate world, working there and slaving myself. It’s true that I envy those managers who take all the privilages which includes nice fat salary and having their own cars but in exchange to that they have to kiss the “big boss’s” ass all the time. That is why I never aspired to be a manager. I was contented being a staff because I know deep inside that even if I have a high position in a company and enjoying all the authority and money, I would still leave it any moment (e.g. retrenchment, retirement or simply being fired). But being an entrepreneur will serve me for a  lifetime even if I don’t earn as much as a corporate executive.

For more than two years this blog have served its purpose: to be a portal for entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs. So to those who are submitting comments asking for information about training and supplies, and to those who have businesses that wants to help those who seek your help, you are most welcome to post your comments.

Hi!
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss. Between me and my husband, I am the more business-minded. Aside from my job, I have other small businesses or “sidelines” that helps in meeting up all our expenses. With all the prices going up, our salaries are not enough to ensure that the needs of our two kids are given.
I want to be my own boss, but I cannot afford to lose my job for the moment. I cannot afford to take the risk of starting from scratch. Maybe I need more courage and preparation to concentrate on having my own business in the future. I want to save for the initial investment, but with the economy I am sure how I can do that. Also, it is quite hard to decide on a specific business right. But I have always dreamed of having something that I love to do and something that I will never be tired of.

@cris

It depends on what kind of business you are interested. If you will ask me what kind of business I will start if I have a capital, then franchising a well known food cart business is what I’m thinking of. It will be a gamble if you will start with an unpopular brand name or you just have to be creative enough and requires a lot of time and promotion if you will start on your own brand name.

@Mavick

I guess what I can only say is never stop dreaming and always have a plan. To tell you the truth, I always fall short on making plans or goals but even if it looks impossible, having a goal is better than none. It’s like going to your destination or if you are travelling. How can you reach your destination if you don’t know where you are going?

Kindly send in advance the training schedule for the month of October 2009 for my early planning. I am really interested in starting business early before my retirement.
Hope you can send me more information on how to jump start in getting started with a successful business.
Thank you and more power….

hi
i am an entrepreneur wannabe. i just want to know if you know of any information that could help me start my own business. my problem is location (isn’t it everyone else’s prob?). do you have any contacts for lrt/mrt branches? i’d like to start a food cart there but i have been looking all over the net for a potential contact and i found none.

@mitzie
Maybe the LRT/MRT management can help you with your problem since they won’t allow anyone to sell in their place without their knowledge. Also, for the moment you can advertise in the classified ads online or offline.
