Finally I have finished my new site for job seekers and employers. I called it Job Philippines which sounds very generic but at least in my opinion is pleasing to the ears. So what makes this different to other job portals in the internet? one feature is there is no need for the employer to register just to post a job opening or a job seeker to register to apply for a job. Job seekers can apply online by filling up a form and uploading their CV or resume in MS Word Format or Acrobat PDF files which are common formats for job application. Then click the send button to apply the your resume will be emailed to the employer.
On the other hand, the employer just need to fill up a simple form to post a job opening. On posting a job, to highlight or make a bold text, word or a sentence, all you need to do is to type an asterisk (*) on the beginning and the end of the letter ( For example: *Job Hiring* ). And to make bullets on a list, just type an asterisk(*) and space on every list you will make on the form.

I always thought that a celebrity product endorsement is the best marketing gimmick on promoting a product but I read on an American commentator that it was not really so. He has some report shown on his website about it. I didn’t put his link here but you can search the internet using Google or Yahoo! search to find it. I don’t know if that is also the case here in the Philippines because we idolized so much on our favorite celebrities and many Filipinos have their own favorite foreign celebrities specially now where teenagers and many young adults like Korean pop music.
I hope can research more on this topic and have a reliable survey on the effectiveness on celebrity endorsement here in the Philippines. If you have found any please tell me about it be commenting below this post. So far I only found in WikiPilipinas some info on the top 10 Philippine endorsers. See the list below: [click to continue...]
There are lots of online business ideas that you can create yourself. And the internet is great advertising medium because almost everyone who knows how to use the internet can do it and with a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising medium. So what actually is an online business? my concept of that is trading in the internet where buyers and sellers transact online where the seller sells his products in the internet and the buyers purchase it through an online shopping cart and using payment facilities like Paypal, GCASH or bank deposit (which you can do by online banking) then the seller will ship the items through a courier. In my experience it is really hard to succeed on e-commerce if you are only going to target locally, that means here in the Philippines because I think e-commerce is still in it’s infancy here. If you are going to use online business just for promoting your brick and mortar business or a physical store, I think that will be fine. Like for example using an online classified ads to post your business ads together with your products, location where to buy your products or any promos you have. But having a purely online business, I really doubt it.
Why you may ask? in my own experience out of 10 customers I’ve encountered, 8 of them wanted to see the actual product, prefer a meet-up and asked me where can they see the store so they can buy their chosen item. So again , maybe a semi- e-commerce site (an advertisement on classified ads or a company website showing all their products where the purpose is for information only and not buying online) is the only way to go. Some small online businesses without a physical store have managed to sell their products thru meet-ups or their own personnel will deliver the goods. Unlike other famous e-commerce site like Amazon.com where everything is done online.
