Probably the number online classified ads in the Philippines is Sulit.com.ph because of the amount of posted classified ads is so many and varied, if you haven’t thought of posting a free advertisement on it, you are leaving money on the table. Why did I say that? The first thing is it is free. Unlike before when internet was not yet known to mankind, and especially here in the Philippines where we are always left behind with regards to technology. The good thing is internet is now widespread and many Filipinos are now enjoying this technology, thanks to the competing telecom networks the cost of having a DSL broadband is going down unlike years back where it is not affordable to common people like me. Not only that internet cafes can be seen on many places where you can rent a PC and internet connection, if you have a WiFfi capable mobile phone or an iPad tablet, you can go to fast foods inside malls with free WiFi. So what is our reason now to avoid using that technology? it’s just very close to our fingertips.
So if you are a regular user on Sulit.com.ph but haven’t thought of knowing who visits your posted ads and what keywords they use to find your ads, then this is the best blog post you will read in order to implement it. This technique is common and a must for Webmasters and bloggers like me. We have to know who visits our sites, where are they are coming from, what country they came from, what keywords they use to find our websites and how many visits and page views per day, per week and per month. And the tool we use is a website statistics software. There are many websites that provide that service either free or paid. Samples are Google Analytics, Statcounter and hitslink. But the one I use in Sulit is Statcounter. It’s very simple to use it, just register and create a project in your account and paste the code in the ads. You’re done!
So here is the step by step process to implement it:
- Go to Statcounter website and register. (http://statcounter.com/sign-up/)
- Then sign-in using your username and password.
- Create a project by filling up a form. On the project URL, just type sulit.com.ph, on the project title, you can use the name of your posted ads on sulit. Then it the add project button.
- Then you will be brought to a page “Choose an Installation Guide for your Website”. Just click the link “default installation guide” on the right side.
- Then you will be brought to another page named “Default Guide”. Copy the code you see and paste it on the sulit ads you created.
- One more thing, don’t paste it on the Sulit default visual text editor, click the HTML icon first and paste it on the bottom of your created ads and hit update button.

How to analyze your visitors in Statcounter:
Since you are not analyzing your own website but only Sulit classified ads, the only useful and functional feature is the “Recent Visitor Activity” on the left side menu, just click the link to get to the page. On the sample below, the keyword is “business for sale”, just omit the plus signs.
