Do You Consider Online Jobs as a Home Business?

I can’t help to think about the relation between an online job and a home business. Since online job is called “job” I might not consider it as a business because it’s still a job. My view of an online business is a very similar to an offline business where you don’t do much of the work yourself. Or even if you are a one-man-band or working alone in your business like selling goods either in a small store or via the internet, you are not working for somebody else. But when you call it a job then maybe it can be considered as a job and not a business.

Oh! it’s getting complicated comparing the two. I don’t mean to confuse the readers, I’m just pondering. Since online jobs are considered as freelancing so on the contrary this can also be considered as a home business because freelancers are not employed ( do you agree?).  Freelancers are selling services to their customers and eventhough it’s called a “job” it can also be considered as a business. One good example is, if I made a business selling website design services and do the work myself and outsource the pending work to freelancers, then that is already considered as a business.

Home Business – Not Popular in The Philippines?

I know you’ll be shocked as I am when I learned that home business is not that popular in the Philippines. Unlike in the U.S., home business is very popular. Why did I say that? for one thing, when you type the word “Home Business” I’m number one but the visitors that comes to my website that searched Google Philippines (www.google.com.ph) using that keyword is very negligible and almost none. Maybe I’m wrong because Yahoo! is popular among Fiipinos but at least I’m sure many surfers in this country are using Google. Look below what I got by using Google Trends. The search was geographical and narrowed it down to “Philippines” by choosing it on the selection drop-down menu.

How to make Taho (Sweetened Soy Bean Curd)

“Taho” is a favorite Filipino delicacy and was a street food sold by traveling vendors. I think the Philippines is the only country that makes this because I can’t find an english term for the word “taho”. Some called it soy yogurt as I read in some magazines but soy yogurt is really a yogurt. I mean the taste is similar to yogurt which is sour and creamy in consistency and use soy milk instead of cow’s milk . Taho on the other hand is similar to Japanese silken tofu but much softer and breaks easily. It’s more of a very soft gelatin in consistency and sweetened with brown syrup sometimes flavored with vanilla. Since I can’t find an appropriate English term for it, for the mean time I will call it “Sweetened Soy Bean Curd” . So as for the taho recipe, see below:
