It’s all over the net and on the news of how Barack Obama had a competitive campaign and being a technology-savvy politician. I also saw on local television featuring him of having a facebook account (on Jessica Soho) which he might have used on his campaign. I just remember a local senator who uses technology efficiently on his campaign beside his pleasing personality. He even have a a valid Friendster account. Not just a fake Friendster accounts made by some unscrupulous individuals we saw lately in the news to which Generals and our President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo having fake Friendster accounts. (But come to think of it, if they truly have social network site accounts, they can use it too in their campaigns.)
Remember Senator Chito Escudero? He is also the youngest senator like Obama, aside from being the first African-American President of the United States, I think he is also the youngest.

It just came to my mind that business is somewhat similar to a see-saw. One side of the see-saw is down while the other is up. One person takes advantage of the other person’s misery. When you buy, a seller profits even though you benefited from the seller because you got what you need or solved your problem, but he (I mean the seller) got away with your money. The example I cited is just an exaggerated illustration, no offense meant. And now, it’s not only the BPO’s but also the health care sector because industrialized countries like the U.S. and parts of Europe have an unaffordable rates for ordinary people. According to the news from The Philippine Star, US crisis a boon to RP medical tourism, as I quote: [click to continue...]

I hope this will become a reality and not just a wishful thinking. The reason why we are borrowing money is because we need to buy things we couldn’t buy in cash. But many credit card companies, instead of helping us, they double the burden. Imagine, with current interest rate of 3.5% a month and compounding every month, how will be able to pay it? If the amount of your loan or outstanding balance is only P3,000 then it might be negligible. But what if it balloons to P300,000 ? 3.5% interest rate of that amount is already P10,500. It’s already a one month salary of an ordinary factory worker or a utility staff. So does it make a difference with a loan sharks or usury? sharks have many sizes but they are all classified as sharks. Whether a great white shark, hammerhead shark or the smallest shark, the Dwarf Lanternfish is still a shark.
