Protecting your customers’ personal information is not only good for them but it is protecting your company from possible litigation and liability. It is the responsibility of every business that collects data of a personal nature to ensure that information is –
- Used with integrity and only for the purpose the customer intended and consented to
- Is not shared with other companies without the knowledge and consent of the customer
- Collects only the information required to complete the requested transaction or purpose
- Safeguards the data by insulating it to only the employees that need it to do their job
- Protects it against unauthorized access or theft by any third party

A business depends on phones and computers. Most business is initiated in one of these 2 methods. This brings with it the challenge to manage its proper usage. Good management of these resources can make a business more profitable while neglecting this can reduce productivity until the business fails.

Trading coaches and expert investors often discuss the importance of treating investment as a business, with the financial markets representing a place of work. This ethos has heralded the emergence of entrepreneurial traders, who adopt a strategic and structured approach towards trading and consider it as a measurable, money making venture. This philosophy has genuine merit in the current economic climate, especially when applied to volatile environments such as the Forex market.

Since the social networking sites became popular in the Philippines, many became interested on how will it be harnessed to help businesses. Actually this kind of thinking have its origin and it came from the west where it all started. Where did twitter, facebook, Youtube and other globally popular social networking sites came from? obviously it originates in the United States. Actually even businesses there are not saved by social networking sites’ suppose to be “solution” to have more customers. Businesses closed down even they have thousands of facebook fan page “likes” or followers in twitters.
So what is the real use of social networking sites to businesses. Oh, before I forget, I also read a blog telling businesses tales, ahem…. I mean business tips, that SEO and social networking is one of his expertise but he is employed and don’t really have a brick and mortar business. He assumes blogging is also a business, maybe I can assume it also because you can earn money by blogging. But I think a more appropriate term for blogging is a kind of self-employment or freelancing. Okay so much for that, back to the real topic. Again what do you think is the real use of social networking for businesses? have you heard of the term “customer feedback”? A business that has a good customer feedback and takes them seriously will be more successful in running a business. Again I remember my previous employment. It was a multinational company but I was very disappointed on how the management handles customer feedback. No one takes them seriously and they don’t plan to put time and effort to this part of the business until they found out that it is really important.

In any business having a pleasing personality is always preferred because customers likes to be pleased in order to come back again to buy your stuffs or services. I think many will say that it is a discrimination when an employer is seeking a pleasing personality employee and I see many job advertisement having this qualification specially if the job is in marketing or sales. Sorry if I confuse you with this topic but I just want to emphasize that being “pleasing” is different from “pleasing everybody”. Have you heard of the saying “marketing to everyone is marketing to no one”? what it means is you have to focus or target a group of consumers that are interested in a product or service. Not a shotgun approach where you will sell everything under the sun.

The policies and methods of the central banks have made specific strategies of making profits easier. Carry trades have been practiced for more than 25 years now and there is a specific strategy that forex traders have used in order to benefit from rollovers and interest rates. However things have changed drastically in the last few years due to the manner in which the economy has turned.
In the attempt to stabilize the markets and provide a sense of security to customers and citizens, the banks have reduced the bank lending interest rates significantly. What this means is that lending and borrowing money between banks has become much cheaper. At the same time this also indicates that the profits that one can gain by holding currencies overnight have reduced. In some cases, the rolls for buying and selling currencies end up being negative due to the spreads charged by the banks and forex brokers.
